Overview

Project Overview: Los Reyes is a historic Cu-Zn-Au skarn (possibly CRD) mineral project located 170 km south-southeast of Chihuahua City. The property is centered along the eastern edge of a large granodiorite intrusion where most of the past mining occurred. In the early 1900s, ASARCO mined 200,000 tons of copper, zinc, lead and silver ore from the property. More recent exploration completed in 2009 confirmed the existence of a strongly copper-enriched mineralized target extending for more than 1 km N-S, along the intrusive-carbonate sediment contact with widths of over 100 meters.

Surface sampling indicated average copper grades of 3.1%, with elevated gold, silver, molybdenum, and zinc. In the early 1970s, Earth Resources Corp., a consulting geological firm, estimated there was potential reserves of 2 to 18 million tons of mineralized material with grades of 0.8-8% Cu, 3-12 g/t Ag, and 0.1-0.5% Zn at Los Reyes.

Exploration and Drilling Plans: Centenario Gold Corp., through its Mexican subsidiary Durango Gold Corp SA de CV, plans to conduct:

  • A semi-detailed sampling and mapping program of the extensive underground workings.
  • A 1,000–1,300-meter diamond drilling program spanned across 4–5 holes, with depths ranging between 200–350 meters, targeting the zone below the high-grade skarn mineralization that was mined historically.
